FAQ
Do I need to consider myself a poet or have previous experience writing poetry?
No on both counts. Anyone with a sincere desire to look within, to explore his or her artistry, and to create a record of discoveries in the form of poem is well-equipped to get the very most out of our time together.
Do I need to know a Celtic language or to be of Celtic descent to take part?
Not at all! While you will certainly learn giota beag Gaeilge – a little bit of Irish – no previous experience of Irish (or Welsh, for that matter) is necessary. People of all backgrounds, races, and identities are warmly welcome to register.
How and when will our meetings take place?
Once you register, I’ll get in touch to schedule all four of our meetings. We’ll meet on Zoom, and that’s exciting because you can join me from anywhere in the world!
Can I record our sessions?
Yes, you are very welcome to record our sessions. If you’d like to do this, just let me know and I’ll make you a co-host and explain how to do it. (This way, you’ll have the recordings on your own device).
Any other policies I should know?
I’m sorry that I don’t offer refunds. Before you purchase, if you’d like to get a better sense of my teaching style, you might enjoy sampling some of the videos on my YouTube channel or browsing my blog. You can also take a look at all of my free offerings and books on the Free Teaching & Gifts page.
As for schedule – once we have together decided on the dates and times of our four meetings, we hold to them. I no longer offer makeup classes or sessions.
