Description
These are poems of the sea, of my father and brother, both Maine lobstermen, and of the way my own imagination set sail from the harbor of my family’s life. The book won the Kalupi Press Sense of Place chapbook contest. Arthur Dawson and Rebecca Lawton of Kalupi Press write, “We chose The Harp-Boat for its high poetic quality, the unique way it developed a sense of place through the poet’s family experiences and relation-ships, and the strong sense of the person behind the words.”
“This lively, intelligent poetry is also attractively musical. It is a feast of pleasure and meaning for any reader.” ~ Kate Barnes, Maine Poet Laureate Emerita
